AiIC 2026 represents the 5th International Conference on Applied Informatics, jointly organized by Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) in collaboration with partner universities and industry stakeholders. The conference serves as a premier platform for researchers, academicians, industry practitioners, and policymakers to exchange ideas, share research findings, and discuss recent developments in applied informatics research and innovation.
Strengthening the conference’s engagement with industry, AiIC 2026 is collaborating with Info Trek to organise Agile Day@UPM 2026 in conjunction with the conference. This collaboration brings together a broader community of industry practitioners and professionals to complement the academic discourse at AiIC 2026, creating greater opportunities for academia and industry to confer, exchange practical insights, and collectively address emerging challenges and opportunities in the age of Artificial Intelligence.
Agile Day@UPM 2026 will be held on the morning of 27 August 2026 as part of the AiIC 2026 programme. The session is free of charge (FOC) and open for registration, offering participants an opportunity to engage with practitioners, explore industry perspectives, and discuss how organisations can embrace agility and navigate digital transformation in an increasingly AI-driven environment.
In 2026, the conference places a strong emphasis on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and emerging technologies, reflecting their accelerating influence across industries and societies worldwide.
The rapid advancement of generative AI, large language models (LLMs), autonomous systems, and intelligent analytics has significantly reshaped the global digital landscape. These technologies are redefining how organizations operate, innovate, and deliver value. Recognizing their profound economic, industrial, and societal impact, AiIC 2026 highlights the urgent need to explore AI-driven solutions, responsible adoption, and future directions in applied informatics.

AiIC 2026 will be held in Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Serdang, Selangor, one of Malaysia’s leading research universities, renowned for its excellence in teaching, innovation, and multidisciplinary research. Strategically located within the Klang Valley, UPM offers convenient access from Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya, making it an ideal and accessible venue for international and local participants.

Accepted and presented papers will be eligible for publication in selected outlets, including the Journal of Advanced Science, Engineering and Information Technology (IJASEIT) and the Journal of Informatics Visualization (JOIV) (both Scopus-indexed journals), as well as a Scopus-indexed Book Chapter.
